Thoughtful, Individualized Care
I believe psychiatric care should be thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in the best available evidence. Mental health is complex and rarely explained by biology alone. I take a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach, carefully considering medical history, psychological factors, lifestyle, relationships, work, stress, and other life experiences that influence mental well-being.
This comprehensive evaluation helps me develop treatment plans tailored to each individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvement through careful assessment, evidence-based treatment, thoughtful medication management, and a collaborative therapeutic partnership. Treatment decisions are made together, with respect for each patient's goals, values, and preferences.

He also completed the Neuroscience Education Institute's Master Psychopharmacology Program with distinction and has specialized training in the assessment and treatment of ADHD.

While Elijah personally identifies as a follower of Christ, he provides evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals of all backgrounds, beliefs, and life experiences. Greenville Psychiatric Care is an out-of-network practice and does not participate with commercial insurance plans.
Many insurance plans provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Upon request, you will receive a detailed superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for any available reimbursement. Because coverage varies by plan, I recommend contacting your insurer to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits before your appointment.
Please note that Medicare and Medicaid do not reimburse for my services, and claims cannot be submitted for reimbursement.
My priority is providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care—not maximizing the number of patients seen each day. Insurance participation often involves extensive administrative requirements, documentation, and coverage policies that reduce the time available for direct patient care.
By remaining an independent, out-of-network practice, I am better able to offer longer appointments, comprehensive evaluations, and treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. This allows me to focus on delivering evidence-based psychiatric care without the scheduling and administrative constraints that often accompany insurance participation.
